Hunting
Athabasca Country envelopes 6327 square kilometers of hunting area, made up of a combination of private and public land.  Throughout the region, you will find moose, whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, black bear, coyotes, ducks, Canada Geese, and ruffed grouse along the trails and back country.  County Maps are available at the Athabasca County Office for a small fee – an ideal tool for tracking down landowners to gain permission and to find your way around Athabasca County.  If you are not familiar with the area, and would like to hire the services our a hunting guide, there are a number of hunting guides in the region.
